A Life Rooted in Soil and Sovereignty
Where it Began
My name is Alyssia.
My relationship with the Earth didn’t begin as a business or a plan. It began as a remembering.
A remembering that the ground beneath us is not just something we walk on… it’s something we sit in relationship with.
Over time, that relationship led me deeper into the world of living soil, decomposition, and regeneration. And through that process, I began to see how much of our disconnection; from food, from nature, from ourselves starts at the soil level.

The Journey
Working with soil, and especially with worms, changed the way I understand life.
Decomposition taught me that nothing is wasted.
That what we’ve been taught to discard still holds value.
That transformation is always happening, even when we can’t see it.
Through this work, I’ve built and nurtured spaces where people can learn, reconnect, and begin to see the Earth differently.
Not as something separate from us,
but as something we are deeply a part of.

My Work
Through my work with Princess Gardens Worm Farm, I’ve had the opportunity to share these practices with communities, youth, and individuals who are ready to learn a different way.
A way rooted in regeneration.
In care.
In understanding the systems that sustain us.
That work continues to grow, and it remains a living part of my path.

What I Believe
I believe that when we reconnect with the Earth, we begin to reclaim something that was never meant to be lost.
Our ability to grow food.
To nourish ourselves.
To live with intention and awareness of the systems we depend on.
Our abTo me, this is what sovereignty looks like.
Not perfection.
Not isolation.
But a deeper relationship with the natural world and our place within it.
